Non-Formal

I studied with a private teacher when I needed to sort out the complexity of the grammar. My tutor had a degree in German linguistics (Germanistik), but unfortunately an adept of old school of teaching languages, which turned out to be less effective for me.

Informal

I lived in Germany since the beginning of the Century, and real people were my best educators. Engaging in long personal conversations and small group discussions were for my active use of language. Especially I liked discussions with strangers, because it helped to to step beyond the limitations of my identity.

I also appreciated some sources of official media in Germany: certain radio and TV channels, in particular political debates and classic plays recordings.
