This watercolor painting is a homage to Hakuin Ekaku, a philosopher and an artist who influenced my life deeply. The person depicted appears to be trapped in an idea represented by the enso ring, which has a mathematical meaning for her, applied to life: emotion limits to zero, as opposed to infinity.
This is a self-portrait with a reflection in a mirror. The writing on the top resembles Hakuin's calligraphy.
